Cognitive Behavioral Treatment for Insomnia (CBT-I)
Do you suffer from fatigue during the day, even when you believe you've been asleep throughout the night? Does it take you over 30 minutes to fall asleep? Do you awaken during the night and find it difficult to fall asleep again? Do you awaken earlier in the morning than you would like to?
There are many causes of poor sleep. Among them are:
Misuse of substances, such as alcohol, caffeine, prescription or over-the-counter medications.
Anxiety or other stress related problems associated with personal relationships, problems at work, or financial difficulties.
Physical pain.
Poor sleep hygiene.
Primary insomnia is not associated with any other physical or mental/emotional problem. CBT-I has proved to be a very effective treatment for Primary Insomnia.
